We think these are the top restaurants Dublin has to provide

Our guide’s first section is filled with recommendations for the best restaurants in Dublin City Centre. These are places that The Irish Road Trip Team has visited and enjoyed.

  1. Chapter One (Parnell Square)

Chapter One, Michelin-starred and a memorable experience, is located in the basement at the Dublin Writers Museum.

The restaurant is located in a modern and elegant dining room. However, Chapter One has a relaxed atmosphere. It features a mix of modern Irish and French cuisine, using ingredients from some of the best producers in the country.

It’s expensive (EUR120 for four courses), but you’ll be happy with the results. You can also choose from a lunch menu for EUR65 or a tasting menu for EUR150. It is well-respected as one of Dublin’s best restaurants.

  1. Pickle (Camden St.)

Sunil Ghai, Executive Chef, is the driving force behind this spot’s success. He has won numerous awards over the years for his innovative cooking.

Pickle at its finest: The tasting menu is available for EUR60 per person. It includes 5 courses. You can have the tasting menu customized to your liking by requesting this during booking.

Pickle is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion in Dublin.

  1. Host (Ranelagh).

Another spot frequently ranked as one of Dublin’s best restaurants is Host. A quick glance on any review site will reveal why. The food is amazing!

Host is an elegant spot that specializes in Italian cuisine. It features small plates and grilled items, as well as delicious fresh pasta, and a wide selection of wines.

Small plates at Host start from EUR12, while food from the grill starts around EUR23. You can also find delicious pasta dishes like pappardelle with lamb shoulder sauce ragu for EUR14.

  1. Rosa Madre (Temple Bar)

Rosa Madre in Dublin’s Temple Bar has always been there to satisfy my desire for seafood pasta.

These guys specialize in fresh, local fish that is cooked to perfection. Calamari and Gamberi are the mainstays, served with spicy spinach.

But, I visited recently and chose the Lobster Tonnarelli. It was delicious. Also, the Ravioli al Tartufo looks amazing!

Rosa Madre, my favorite restaurant in Dublin, offers a great mix of light bites as well as delicious pasta dishes.

  1. FX Buckley (various places)

FX Buckley is a top-rated steakhouse. There are many locations around the city, but I always go back to Bull and Castle.

Excellent service, intimate atmosphere and delicious steaks make this a great place to eat. The beef-dripping chips are the only thing that can top the steak.

This place has been perfecting their steaks for over 25 years. They use grass-fed, traditional breeds of cattle and they dry-age them for at least 28 days. FX Buckley is Dublin’s best steakhouse.

  1. Brookwood (Baggot Street Lower)

Brookwood, a great place to eat beef in Dublin, is also located along busy Baggot Street.

This menu features only the best Vintage Reserve Irish dry-aged beef, all from the same butcher. There’s also excellent seafood available.

Brookwood Cheeseburger and lobster pasta are just a few of the delicious burgers on the menu. Brookwood excels in drinks and has a sophisticated cocktail menu.

  1. Bastible (Portobello).

Bastible is one of the most renowned restaurants in Dublin. Every bite will surprise you.

Bastible offers a delicious set menu with dishes such as poached oysters, elderflower and tomato dashi or brown crab with courgette. You can also find a popular vegetarian menu!

You should also try their amazing Irish farmhouse cheese platter, which pairs perfectly with their selection of wines and cocktails.

  1. The Liath (Blackrock).

The Liath is one the most popular Michelin Star restaurants Dublin. Take a look at the photos to get an idea of what you can expect.

Their website states that Liath is a group of like-minded people who value the spirit of community and togetherness above all else.

We believe that food’s inherent value can be best shared with friends and family. To achieve this goal, we adapt, evolve, and innovate.

White soy, cep, and walnut are specialties; Anjou Pigeon, blackberry, and amaranth; Pear with Grand Cru and black pepper are also available. Find the best restaurants in Dublin for special occasions.

  1. Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud (Merrion St.)

Two Michelin-starred restaurant Patrick Guilbaud has a reputation of excellence. This restaurant serves contemporary Irish cuisine with French classical roots.

This restaurant has been delighting stomachs for over 40 years. It is highly regarded both nationally and internationally.

You’ll find an a-la-carte menu starting at EUR100 that changes with the seasons and a lunch menu that changes daily. You can also choose from a 4-course tasting menu (EUR140), or an 8-course tasting menu (EUR205).

If you are looking for something special, Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud may be the right place for you.

  1. The Greenhouse (Dawson St.)

The Michelin Guide describes The Greenhouse as “chic” & “intimate” with a relaxed atmosphere and deliciously refined dishes. There are many unusual combinations of flavours available and the menu has a French twist.

The Greenhouse offers a variety of specialities, including hand-dived scallops and horseradish, grouse “en crepinette” with celeriac, blackberry, and sauce grand veneur, as well as cholate, tonka bean and praline desserts.

You can expect to pay between EUR80 and EUR180 for your dining experience. You should book well in advance as this is a popular restaurant in Dublin City Centre.
